Seen on the Royals as often as at the Races, these designs hold incredible detail…and sometimes seemingly impossible angles! Learn how to create pieces that hold their placement with style, comfort and stability. It’s the engineering behind the design that make these gravity defying pieces so magical. Students are welcome to use felt or straw for their projects. Depending on the complexity of the design and the pace of work, students can expect to finish 2 pieces in this class.

A native Chicagoan, Laura Hubka studied millinery in both her hometown and in New York City. As a Millinery Instructor at Judith M Millinery Supply for over a decade, she has had the great pleasure of teaching students from all over North America. An award-winning milliner, her work has been featured in print, film, and theater and her creations have traveled to some of the most glamorous events in the world. She is a dynamic and intuitive instructor who loves sharing the joy a fine hat can bring.
