How to create meaningful visual research from Primary and Secondary sources
How to refine the research and question it
Week 1 -History of Hats and Fashion, Week 2 -Designers Past and Present and their work, Week 3- Trend Research and Interpretation
How to develop a theme/topic/trend/idea through exploration for the subject area both 2D and 3D
Week 4- Sketchbook: How to Collect to Inspire, Week 5 -Illustration for Creation (step by step) / how to draw hats, Week 6 -2D to 3D Exploration
How to translate the research and development into unique designs
How to refine design ideas into a cohesive collection and present it
Week 7- Collection development and colour theory, Week 8 – Refining and making your collection cohesive, Week 9 – Finalising your Collection, Week 10 – Sharing and reviewing your collection
You will gain the tools, skills, and ability to create your own unique collections. Moving you into the next level of millinery, whether you are a beginner or an established maker.
