This course is aimed at:

• Students who want expand their knowledge and techniques blocking crowns in sinamay and parisisal and creating parisisial flowers

Course Timings

This course will take place live Wednesday 8th & Thursday 9th November 2023 – Time; 6pm-8.30pm (UK Time) .  Please note depending on the speed that students work there may be an hours sewing time needed between the 2 sessions.

THIS COURSE WILL BE RECORDED AND AVAILABLE TO REVIEW FOR 4 WEEKS AFTER THE COURSE

The course will involve:

• Blocking a sinamay crown shape using hand blocking with pins and steam
• Blocking a straw crown shape
• Learning how to wire and attach internal petersham edging
• Learning how to create a straw flower
• Learning how to create a straw loop trim
• Fixings to ensure a good fit including comb and elastic

Level – Aimed at students with some experience of blocking and sewing
