In this 3.5 hour workshop, you will learn how to measure a client’s head for a custom veil then cut and drape millinery veiling to create a gorgeous veil on a headband.

Students may work with Russian, French, English, or honeycomb veiling. I will demonstrate how to embellish your veiling with crystals and chenille dots.

This is a technique-based course (as opposed to project-based) so you will be concentrating on veil and headband and not necessarily finishing a fully trimmed piece. You may add trims at a later date if you wish. This class is the second project from the 2-day fundamentals course “Veils: Classic to Couture” that I taught from 2017-2019. I am adapting it to an online format for 2021.

You will need a wig head or balsa utility block.
