Residential 4 Day Millinery Course with Donna Hartley

The residential courses to be held at the stunning Manoir de Roquegautier, includes accommodation and 4 glorious days of learning how to make hats. This is a very special setting where learning and relaxation is guaranteed.

During the course of the week, you will:
1. Learn traditional millinery making skills
2. Design and make your own hat/headpiece
3. Learn how to use various millinery materials for construction
4. Gain an understanding of how different hat forms are constructed. Which tools are used and which materials work best on various shapes.
5. Go home with at least 2 pieces made by your own hands
6. The course has been shaped to cater to beginners through to intermediate abilities. The small numbers of students in each course, will enable lots and lots of one to one tuition.
7. Meet new friends whilst having brilliant fun
8. Past courses have proven to be very interesting and past learners have gained a massive amount of information. Some of the students had never made hats before, however when they finished they had 2 beautifully constructed hats and went home with a multitude of knowledge. The course is intense, it is aimed to give you solid knowledge and understanding of hat construction.
