The workshop will take place at our home in a beautiful corner of South-West France. During the workshop you will have the choice to work on two specific techniques or create samples of a series of techniques. The focus of the workshop is Tracy’s signature techniques, covering Freeforming without the need of hat blocks. Tracy has also developed a series of new techniques that she will be sharing during the workshop.

Individual projects can be catered for if discussed with Tracy in advance of the workshop. Tracy has taught complete beginners to millinery who have been surprised by what they can learn in such a short space of time. A wide selection of Hat blocks are also available for students to use. During the workshop students will be guided through the full process and given clear instructions and helpful time saving tips.

There will be a maximum of 5 students on the workshop to ensure time for personal tuition and plenty of time for overcoming any difficulties or problems that may arise. By the end of the workshop the aim is that you will have created two or three unique and beautiful hats to take home with you. We are happy to arrange for the hats to be sent to your home after the workshop if you are unable to take them with you.

The accommodation is either in our home or in a lovely French house in our village that has recently been renovated to a high standard. The workshops in France offer a complete immersion experience, giving students the time and space to create and learn in a relaxed environment.

The price of the workshop includes five days tuition and foundation materials, six nights in a double room with ensuite shower. Lunch and dinner (except one evening out at your expense) is included and we make sure you have everything you need to prepare your own breakfast. We use locally sourced and organic produce and can cater for special dietary requirements if notified in advance. The cost of getting to and from our home is at your expense although we are happy to help in organising transport to pick you up from Toulouse airport. There is a local train station with a 45 minute journey time to Toulouse and we are happy to pick you up and drop you back at the station, time permitting, at no extra charge
