About the Workshop
This course is aimed at those wanting to learn how to use beads and wire to make Bridal Headpieces. This hands-on workshop concentrates on beading techniques and how to incorporate them into typical bridal hair fixings.
Description:
- An introduction to different types of beads, wire and how to use them
- This hands-on workshop uncovers the mystery of different wired beading techniques to create a variety of petals, flowers, leaves and adornments
- You will learn how to incorporate lace and pre created fixings into your designs including the use of crimping beads
- You will learn how to use the techniques created and secure them on to the following
- Metal and plastic combs
- Double comb headpiece
- Barette spring hair clips
- Metal crocodile clips
- Tiara bands
- Hair pins
- Time will be spent practicing the techniques and in between the 2 sessions you will add to your collection, the final session will be about using these in your designs in different ways

- An understanding of different beading and stringing techniques
- A knowledge of bead sizes and measurements
- A variety of beading techniques and confidence to experiment with others
- Different designs for your bridal collection
- Information on suppliers and materials
Skill Level: Beginner, Intermediate, Advanced – All Levels
Course Timings
This course will take place live in 2 x 4 hour sessions – 10am – 2pm (UK Time). A further 4 hours independent sewing time should be put aside in between the two sessions. Please note the recording will be available for you for 3 months after the course should you not be able to attend the live session or if you would like to re-visit the techniques.
