About Me
Jasmin Zorlu Millinery specializes in creating sculptural headwear with a futuristic aesthetic. Natural and sustainable materials like fish leather, handwoven straw and reclaimed cashmere are hand-worked into elegant hats inspired by the Art Deco era. Jasmin Zorlu Millinery strives to create classic heirloom pieces which will protect you into the next century.
Jasmin has been sculpting hats for 3 decades. She plays with an organic concept of design morphed with an elegant directive from the Art Deco Era. Hand made with clean, deliberate structure and line work, her futuristic headwear is timeless. She enjoys creating sculptural headwear to decorate and protect the cranium in the form of cloches, helmets, and other fun shapes from the eco friendly materials of fish leather, handwoven straws, wool felt and upcycled wools.
Erykah Badu, Neil Young, and Tom Waits are among her customers.
Jasmin is also a millinery instructor. She has taught millinery workshops all around the world, as well as for 3 1/2 years as an adjunct professor at the Parsons School of Design in New York City. Jasmin is currently based in San Francisco, California.
