About Me
From the Edinburgh Hat Studio, award-winning Scottish milliner and hat maker Sally-Ann Provan creates bespoke handmade hats, headpieces, & bridal millinery for weddings, Royal Ascot, Henley Royal Regatta, investitures, Royal garden parties, special occasions, stage & screen. For every event and and everyday!
Her hats grace the heads several members of the Royal Family including HRH Catherine The Princess of Wales; HRH Princess Beatrice; HRH Princess Eugenie; Zara Tindall; and Autumn Phillips, and other clients include former First Minister Nicola Sturgeon, mezzo soprano Katherine Jenkins, and broadcasters Edith Bowman; Charlotte Hawkins and Francesca Cumani.
As well as being a Director of The British Hat Guild, Sally also teaches regularly on the Fashion B.A.(Hons) and Performance Costume B.A.(Hons) degree courses at Edinburgh College of Art, and in her own studio.
Learn in a relaxed and comfortable atmosphere. Places are strictly limited to ensure you receive all the support you need so early booking is advised to secure your place. You can choose to learn online or at the bright spacious and fully-equipped Edinburgh Hat Studio which is the perfect place to learn something new.
All courses run as a 1-day workshop, or a 2-day workshop, and are suitable for beginners, and run at the weekend. There are also longer term 5-session courses over 5 months with progression through each course to develop your millinery skills.
Tuition, materials and use of equipment are all included.
We also offer 1/2 day group workshops in fascinator-making for small groups and One-to-One tuition at our Edinburgh studio or online for those wishing more a personal learning experience, or wishing to learn more specialised techniques.
