About Me

After spending 25 years in fashion retail working all over the U.K. my travels finally led me to Tyneside. It was here in 2003 I set up my own business specialising in bespoke Millinery & Mother of the Bride apparel in Newcastle.
During the pandemic like many people, I revisited my long-term plans and began to do more sewing. This reawakened my love for the craft and led me to launch a range of ready-to-wear cut-and-sewn winter hats and accessories. After lockdown I went on a couple of sewing retreats in France and it was here I met Kate & Bill Hughes who own a beautiful 18th-century farm house in the Charente. They had begun hosting residential sewing retreats and were looking to expand the courses they offered. Together we are able to offer a beginner hat-making retreat happening in June 2025.
