What is this workshop?
Create your own stunning fascinator by combining different colours of feathers, fabrics, flowers, ribbons and buttons. In this workshop you will learn how to assemble a fascinator to create a stylish wearable item that you get to take home at the end of the course.
This taster session is an introductory workshop designed to give learners a taste of the art of millinery, specifically focusing on creating a fascinator. We’ll show you how to make your own fashionable fascinators, using a variety of constructing and assembling techniques.
By the end of the workshop, you will have gained invaluable millinery skills and you’ll leave with a beautiful finished fascinator that you made yourself.

What is Millinery?
Millinery refers to the art or profession of designing, making, and selling hats, especially women’s hats. Milliners create hats of various styles, shapes, and materials, often to match or complement specific outfits or occasions. Millinery can involve a wide range of techniques, including blocking (shaping the material over a form), sewing, trimming, and embellishing hats with ribbons, feathers, flowers, or other decorative elements.

Do I need to bring anything?
We will provide all the materials and equipment needed to create your stylish fascinators.
