Virtual Demonstration ‘Designing Hats to Suit your Clients’ with Jenny Roberts

This course is aimed at students wanting to:

• Understanding your clients requirements and what their needs, wants and desires are from your design and service
• Exploring trims, and balance of hat shapes and trims and how best to design to enhance the wearer
• Looking at the following attributes and how we can as milliners design to enhance our clients
  • Faceshapes
  • Hair styles
  • Positioning of hat
  • How to work your design to best suit someone who wears glasses
  • How to work your design to best suit someone with prominent features
  • How to design to best flatter different body shapes
  • How to design to enhance different outfits, patterns and plains
  • How to choose colours which enhance different skin tones
• Lots of working examples of different clients and how different designs can work for them

Course outcomes:

You will leave with:

• The confidence to meet your clients needs, wants and desires
• The ability to use design know how to create flattering headwear
• Inside knowledge in which designs will suit your clients based on their attributes and the style of their chosen outfits.
• The skill to help your clients feel confident in the headwear you create for them

Course Timings

This course will take place over 2 hours live from 3pm – 5pm  (UK Time).   Please note the recording will be available for you for 3 months after the course should you not be able to attend the live session or if you would like to re-visit the techniques.
